How to make a bicycle rim Christmas wreath
December is a VERY busy time of year – baking cookies, buying presents and of course, decking the halls! If you’re anything like myself, you probably began decorating for the holidays as soon as you finished your last bite of Thanksgiving pie. But, for those of you who are still rushing around to get things finished before family arrives, or are still hunting for that perfect tree, you are going to LOVE this quick and easy project!
I made a colorful, DIY wreath in about 15 minutes, using an old bicycle rim, some artificial pine garland, a variety of christmas picks, ribbon and glue!
The fun thing about making a wreath is that there is no right or wrong. I started by wrapping the garland around the bike rim – you can either weave in and out or simply glue it around the outer edge.
Once my garland was in place, I added some simple christmas ribbon – this you’ll definitely want to weave in and out of the spokes.
Now here’s the really fun part – adding in the little decorations! You can add as little or as many as you want – ornaments, bows, whatever your holiday heart desires! I chose to keep my wreath simple, using one large bow and some smaller decorations I found at a craft store.
Wasn’t that easy!? Now you have plenty of time to go get that tree!
